🚨 Important Update for the Farmington Community! 🚨
As many of you know, this Sunday, August 25th, marks a significant milestone for our town with the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the brand-new Farmington High School. This event, set to begin at 5:00 PM, is the culmination of years of hard work, planning, and community investment. It’s a moment that should be celebrated by all who have supported this project and watched it come to life.
However, there’s been an important development that you should be aware of: the event will NOT be live-streamed. Despite living in a digital age where virtually everything can be shared with the world in real time, our town’s leadership has opted not to stream this historic event. This decision is disappointing, especially given this moment's significance for current residents and those who’ve moved away but still have strong ties to our community.
Please note that parking will be extremely limited for those planning to attend in person. If you’ve registered, you should have received a parking pass with instructions on where to park. However, those who haven’t registered may face challenges finding a spot. The town is encouraging carpooling or even walking if you’re close enough. And remember, seating is also limited, with only 50 chairs available on a first-come, first-served basis.
This ribbon-cutting is more than just a ceremonial event—it showcases our town’s commitment to progress and education. It’s a chance to highlight what makes Farmington unique and share it with a broader audience. Unfortunately, by not live-streaming the event, we’re missing out on an opportunity to reach past students, potential future residents, and anyone interested in what Farmington offers.
Let’s make the best of this situation by showing up in full force and celebrating together. If you can’t make it, we hope the photos and potential video will help you feel connected to this vital moment in our town’s history.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this project and continues to make Farmington a wonderful place to live.
