State Line Tribune We are the "Official Publication of Parmer County", and the oldest newspaper in this area. We started in Texico in 1912 and moved to Farwell a few years later.

We proudly serve the Farwell, Texico, Lazbuddie and Bovina communities.

The great Border Town Days fun run is coming up. The race starts at 8 a.m. Texas time and runners get the chance to see all the scenic parts of Farwell while knowing their entry fees go to helping senior citizens in Texico and Farwell. Get signed up soon!

Okay football fans, this is the first week of the 66th Annual Area Merchant's Football Contest.
The State Line Tribune is giving out $20 per week for 1st place and $8 for second place each week for 12 weeks. Plus your picture on the front page of the State Line Tribune!
The top person after 12 weeks gets $400, and 2nd place gets $100.
If you've never played, it's free and it's simple.
Just circle the winners of the 12 games, and pick a score for the tie-breaker.
You can drop off the contest at the Tribune office, Farwell, Texico, or Bovina High School offices, or the Parmer County Tax Appraisal office.
You can also email or fax the Tribune, or call it in to the office.
As long as it's entered before kickoff of the first game, you can compete.
This is the first week of the contest, and the next 11 weeks will be on Page 3 of the best darn paper in our town!

Folks, the Farwell Chamber of Commerce will host their annual Community Yard Sale this Saturday on Highway 86 across the street from the Family Dollar.
If you have clutter you are ready to get rid of, this is a fantastic way to host a yard sale ... with hundreds of folks passing buy every hour on the high way.
If you don't have stuff to sell, make sure to come by and see what's being offered. You might be surprised!

Hamlin Methodist Church is hosting a brisket lunch today to raise funds to send our kids to church camp this summer.
The Rotary Club cooked 22 briskets and they are amazing.
Serving starts at 11:30 and we have to-go plates if you’d like to come support these great kids!

Apparently the printing press made a mistake and switched the blue and green plates.

Our famous Area Merchants Football Contest begins this week! Once again, it's free to play. You can win up to $100 a week for the 12 week contest, and the grand prize is $400.
Just circle your winners and pick a score for the tie breaker. It couldn't be easier! All ballots have to be in by 5 p.m. on Friday.
