Did you know that there is an online course for homeschool middle & high school students that not only teaches them the fundamentals of graphic design but also how to create content in the free design app Canva?

Heads up homeschool parents or grandparents! As your kids move through their middle and high school and on to college, you’ll find that they will be expected to be able to use graphics to illustrate reports and presentations.

In addition, many workplaces have expectations that their employees can do the same.

This evolution has occurred because of the availability of online graphic design software like Canva. I’m so excited to once again an online full-semester class this fall for middle and high school homeschool students that teaches the basics of graphic design through using a free Canva account.

My students will be creating fun and innovative designs all while building their confidence in design work. The class is offered by It’s time to get registered for the Spring 2026 course that begins in just a few days, so check out the details now! There’s a link in my bio to the class info.

Creator friends! Don’t get too invested in the process of combining words and art because there’s always going to be some last minute additions or removals. But still. Words + art = STORYTELLING MAGIC. The best way to tell a story is to say it with words and then bring it to life with imagery.

What are your working on today? I’m creating clip art for all of you who want to make something fun for St. Patrick’s Day. Don’t you love this Celtic shamrock I created using ? From there I took the SVG file into Adobe Illustrator and gave it 5 different shades of “shamrock” green. My post graphic was made in . I can’t wait to share this collection with you. ☘️☘️☘️
