***UPDATE: per ArDOT, this will now take place overnight Tuesday, Sept. 16 (not Monday).

OVERNIGHT DETOUR: On Tuesday, Sept. 16, ArDOT will completely shut down the northbound I-49 overpass at MLK. From 9 p.m. Tuesday to 7 a.m. Wednesday, northbound interstate traffic will be detoured onto the MLK exit / Futrall Dr.

This overnight work will allow the Arkansas Department of Transportation to transition northbound traffic onto the new I-49 overpass bridge. During this time, crews will perform the required transition paving, striping and barrier wall placement. The closure and detour allows for the highest levels of safety for crews, inspectors and the traveling public.

Cracker Barrel is now abandoning its plans for modern restaurant redesigns. The chain says it will maintain its vintage Americana aesthetic, complete with rocking chairs, peg games, unique gift shop treasures and antiques pulled straight from their Tennessee warehouse.

"If your restaurant hasn't been remodeled, you don't need to worry, it won't be," the company said.
