Black Wealth in Action! Congrats Dr. King!

Dr. Bernice King, daughter of civil rights leaders Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King, continued her family’s legacy of community service through a new banking initiative aimed at supporting single mothers and families in need.

King co-founded Redemption Bank and helped launch the Bank King Card, a debit card program designed to support families living in government-subsidized housing. The program used everyday banking activity to help generate donations, with funds directed through the bank’s foundation to nonprofit groups providing cash assistance and support services.
