Two Fayetteville men, a 21-year-old and a 20-year-old, were among those killed in this morning's wreck on I-40. The third victim was a 14-year-old girl who has not yet been identified. More later at clintonnc.com

🗒️ The Hoke County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance locating Mr. James Riley, who was last seen during the early morning hours of May 8, 2026.

🚗 Authorities say Mr. Riley was reportedly traveling toward downtown Raeford around 4:10 AM in a blue 2020 Ram Big Horn truck with North Carolina tag LKV3958.

👴 He is described as:
🧥 Wearing a camouflage jacket
👕 Black shirt
👖 Black pants

⚠️ Officials say Mr. Riley may be displaying signs of cognitive impairment.

| Youth Detectives Seek Public’s Assistance Locating Runaway Juvenile |

The Fayetteville Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Lesedric Buchanan (Black male, 12 years of age) of Fayetteville, N.C., who has been reported as a runaway.

On February 27, 2026, Lesedric Buchanan was reported as a runaway. Buchanan was last seen at the Cricle K located at 1302 Robeson Street walking towards Village Drive. Buchanan was possibly sighted by a family member in the area of Laurinburg, NC but was he unable to be located.

Lesedric Buchanan is described as:
• Black male
• 12 years of age
• 5’07
• 180 pounds
• Brown hair with orange dye spots on right side
• Brown eyes
• Last seen wearing red sweatpants, tan bubble slides, black shirt/ hoodie.
