Yet, a county to their south, can function just fine without their "reasons" to the north.

Pierce County's model on using encryption is how it should be done. Yet, in King County, logic cannot prevail........who is shocked? 😜

Death Investigation – 3700 Block of South Wilkeson

Tacoma, Wash. – Shortly after 1:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 3700 block of South Wilkeson Street following reports of an unresponsive male with a possible gunshot wound.

Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive adult male and immediately began life-saving efforts. The Tacoma Fire Department responded and determined that the individual had died at the scene.

Detectives and Crime Scene Technicians have responded and are investigating the incident as a possible homicide.

Homicide Investigation at Uptown Apartments – One Juvenile Suspect in Custody, One At Large

On Saturday, May 3, 2025, Federal Way Police officers responded to a report of a shooting at the Uptown Apartments, located at 1066 South 320th Street. Upon arrival, officers located a 20-year-old male victim suffering from gunshot wounds.

Despite life-saving efforts by officers and medical personnel, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The investigation indicates the incident was the result of a dispute that occurred shortly before the shooting. Detectives from the Federal Way Police Department have identified two juvenile suspects involved in this case.

One suspect, a 14-year-old male, was located and taken into custody in Renton. He has been booked into the King County Youth Detention Facility.

The second suspect, a 13-year-old female, has been identified but remains at large. Efforts to locate her are ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding this case or the whereabouts of the outstanding suspect is urged to contact the Federal Way Police Department at (253) 835-2121.

There is a large police presence in the 16800 block of 116th Ave SE for an officer-involved shooting. Renton police and Valley SWAT were attempting to arrest a shooting suspect when gunfire broke out. The shooting suspect is in custody, and two others are injured. No officers were injured.
Last night's shooting occurred in the 600 block of Queen Ave NE and left an 18-year-old male in critical condition.
The Independent Force Investigative Team - King County will be investigating the officer-involved shooting.
