Clementon Park has announced that it will be closing after the 2026 season. The park was home to Hell Cat, an elusive S&S Wooden Coaster! Hell Cat was known as one of the roughest coasters out there and has been SBNO for some time. Of the 3 existing S&S Wooden Coasters, 2 of them will be closing at the end of this year! This will leave Falken at Farup Sommerland, in Denmark, as the world's only operating wooden coaster from the manufacturer.

The New Jersey park was bought by Gene Staples in 2021 after it originally failed to reopen from the COVID pandemic. Gene Staples currently owns 3 parks, Indiana Beach, Niagara Amusement Park, and Clementon Park. Additionally, his company operates Lake Winnepesaukah. He is reportedly facing a $28m lawsuit with the private equity firm Bridge Investment Group over missing loan payments and failing to pay property taxes.

While we hope Gene is able to overcome these issues, we can't help but feel like the writing was on the wall for Clementon Park. While just our opinion, we would not be surprised if Niagara Amusement Park follows a similar fate sooner rather than later.

Six Flags has announced that they have BOUGHT ArieForce One! This RMC masterpiece will be moved into one of their parks in the 2028 or 2029 season!

The chain has not confirmed a location the ride will move to yet, but they have confirmed other details. They plan to honor the history of the ride, and will be keeping the ride's name ArieForce One! They also said that they will announce the ride's new location by the end of this year.

Fun Spot America Atlanta has confirmed that ArieForce One has been sold! This fan favorite RMC closed earlier this summer after the park closed permanently. The company, along with RMC, have been actively looking for a buyer, and those efforts have paid off! They did not disclose where the ride will be relocating to, but we are super excited to learn that this insane coaster will live for another day!

Midgårdsormen, the new Intamin Hot Racer going to Djurs Sommerland, is moving fast with construction! This wild double launch coaster features a tightly-packed layout of ejector airtime, strong laterals, and 3 inversions!

Construction of the majority of the second half of the ride is underway, with two of the rides three inversions already erected, as well as a large sustained airtime hill and part of the ride's 75.5ft tall Outerbanked Tophat!

The first launch of the coaster actually launches through the queue line! Construction of the ride's station, queue line, trench, and more is also underway.

Midgårdsormen is shaping up to be an incredible thrill coaster, and will surely be one of the best coasters in Denmark when opened!

X2 at Six Flags Magic Mountain hits major news headlines after Six Flags settles out of court, ending the wrongful death lawsuit stemming from the case of a 22 year old who sadly died shortly after riding in 2022. S&S, the manufacturer of the trains, also settled out of court earlier this week. The ride has been closed since July 12th of this year.

This is not the end of issues, though, as an article released by CNN today highlights this has not been the only severe injury in recent times. In 2021, a 46-year old woman was diagnosed with a traumatic subdural hematoma shortly after riding the ride. A trial for her case is scheduled for October 2027.

X2 has been closed since July 12th of this year, after two significant injuries occurred within a week from each other. In early July, a 40-year old woman had to have emergency surgery after a CT scan revealed a severe subdural hematoma. During the recovery, she had to relearn how to walk and talk again.

Six days later, a 25-year old woman collapsed shortly after riding, and underwent emergency brain surgery. She suffered from a traumatic brain injury, and to this day is still in a coma.

Six Flags Magic Mountain has not commented on any of these cases, and has made no official statement about the ride.

While X2 may be one of the countries most insane coasters, it is clear that the ride can not keep operating at the state it is currently in. We hope that the correct measures are taken to ensure these incidents will not happen again in the future.

Holiday World has installed the first section of track for Cannonball! The piece installed is the short lift section at the end of the ride, going from the splash channel into the station. This Mack Rides Water Coaster climbs 90ft up before dropping riders through a twisty coaster section with multiple weightless moments. This $20m USD addition is one of the largest single attraction investments the park has ever made, and will make a huge splash when it opens in 2027!

We are absolutely gutted to learn about the passing of the legendary Dolly Parton. She was a beacon of hope for hundreds of millions around the globe. She spent a lifetime giving and using her influence to help others through healthcare, education, her Imagination Library program, and was an icon and ally of the LGBT+ community.

Back in 1986 Dolly wanted to spur development and create jobs for those in her home region, so she partnered with Herschend Entertainment and became co-owner of Silver Dollar City Tennessee, and the park was rebranded into Dollywood. Since then, the park has absolutely blossomed into a pillar of the community, and is a place where millions make memories with their families every year.

Her legacy will live on till the end of time, and our memories of her will only empower each of us to live life with a little more joy & kindness in our heart.

Ten people were sent to the hospital after a coaster partially derailed at Sunway Lagoon in Subang Jaya, Malaysia last night. Lost City of Gold is a Soquet coaster known for its janky airtime. According to the District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner, 22 people were on board the ride and “all riders suffered minor injuries, and there were no fatalities.” While exact details are unknown, it can be seen that the ride eventually valleyed after the ride's second large airtime hill. The ride remains closed for an investigation. Hopefully those affected will be compensated, and the cause will be determined so the ride & others of its model are able to run safely in the future.

Cupid Roller Coaster, located at Beijing Shijingshan Amusement Park in Beijing, China, has officially opened! Manufactured by Heibei Zhongye, this interesting coaster features 6 inversions, including a Wingover Drop, Rollover, two Corkscrews, and a Cutback! The ride was plagued with issues during construction, and needed to be partially retracked before opening due to how rough the ride was. While this ride is clearly not amazing, and still suffers from smoothness issues, it is interesting to see yet another Chinese manufacturer start making more ambitious layouts! It will be interesting to see how this ride holds up overtime, as well as how this Heibei Zhongye continues to evolve!
