How you prepare.

How you hunt.

How you treat the land.

How you treat other hunters and non-hunters.

How you act when no one’s watching.

That’s what defines you—and what will have the real impact on the next generation of hunters in the long run.

Not how much you spent or how big the rack was, but how you carry yourself in and out of the woods.

Make sure your integrity weighs more than your gear.

Jumped on an impromptu hunting session update live with my buddy and it turned into one of those conversations every outdoorsman can relate to.

We dug into what he’s been doing leading up to his 2025 elk, deer, and bear seasons, what’s worked for him year after year, the struggles he’s faced, and what he’s most excited for as the season unfolds.

If you’re not already following Clint’s journey, you’re missing out. He shares his day-to-day life and hunting adventures almost daily on his story’s straight from the mountains and plains of Idaho. It’s the kind of content that makes you feel like you’re right there beside him.

Check out his last session highlights, and keep an eye out he’ll be posting an updated highlight from this session soon.

If you’ve got questions for Clint, drop them in the comments or reach out to him directly. He’s as real as they come, salt of the earth, a passionate father, a faithful husband, and the kind of guy you want around the campfire swapping stories with.

Proud to call him a friend. Stick around, because I am sure there’s more to come.

The mountains are just the setting, and the silent teachers.

What are men really chasing?

I believe it’s the version of themselves that refuses to live small.

For instance, bowhunting elk on Colorado public land has about a 5–10% success rate.

That means 90–95% of men go home without filling a tag.

And yet—every year—we go anyway.

We train knowing the odds.

We step into the unknown knowing failure is likely.

We chase something hard and almost unrealistic.

Why?

Because easy never achieved anything worth keeping, and we believe the reward is worth it.

It’s the same reason men should chase big goals and have impossible dreams.

Not because success is guaranteed,
but because finding out what you’re made of, and the opportunity to succeed, is worth the risk.

Society will always try to keep us small, in line, and in check.

If you feel that pull…

That’s not restlessness.

That’s purpose calling you to go against small-minded thinking—and against the mindset that’s trying to keep you small 🏔️

Nothing changes if nothing changes.

I’ve been in the woods and on the water my whole life.

I started Elk hunting when I was 8 years old, dad made me earn the trip by doing something most kids today would s**t themselves doing. By 15–16, I was already guiding hunts on our family elk ranch in northern Wisconsin.

Right out of high school, that path took me west, guiding hunts and fly-fishing trips in northern Idaho.

Long days.

Late nights.
Early mornings.
Heavy packs, and stories you can’t make up.

Follow along for more as I continue to unpack more of what my early years and experiences have taught me.

I’m still learning every time I step outside. 🌲🏹🎣
