Otter Tail Lakes Country Home to 1,048 lakes. A great place to visit, live, work & play. Come Otter Tail Country is located in West Central Minnesota.

Otter Tail Country Tourism Association has been working hard to promote tourism in this region since 1976. Our membership is comprised of a wide range of businesses and communities. We are 2.5 hours from Minneapolis, MN and 45 minutes from Fargo, ND. Our area is made up of twenty-four charming communities sprinkled among wooded hills and crystal clear lakes. Otter Tail Country covers approximately 2,225 square miles – and over 11% of it is water. That’s 157,000 acres of water!

What makes a hometown special? ❤️ For Craig and Reba, it’s the people, the small-town connections, and the chance to make a difference in the community they love.

After moving back to Battle Lake 24 years ago, the couple has spent years volunteering, supporting local projects, and helping transform their community through the arts. Their story is a great reminder that small-town life is about more than where you live — it’s about the people who make it home.
