One of my favorite parts of editing is going back through the audio from the entire day, especially when couples just roll with having a mic on all day (and no, the audio doesn’t go through the DJ speakers—I get asked that all the time!).

I always tell couples they can leave little messages for me if they want—and these two definitely took that to heart 😂 Going through their footage had me cracking up! Let’s just say some of the stuff that was said would make grandma cry 😂😂😂

One of my favorite parts of what I do is sitting down with couples and hearing them talk about each other. It’s honestly one of the most genuine and beautiful things to witness.

This morning, I was emailing with someone about possibly filming their wedding, and they mentioned feeling a bit intimidated by this part of the process. I get it—it can sound daunting. But when we sit down, it’s just a conversation. It’s not a job interview or a news report. We’re just talking about the love of your life, sharing stories, and capturing what makes your relationship unique.

So if you’re worried about the “interview” part, don’t be. I’m not there to grill you with questions—I’m there to listen, laugh, and make sure you feel comfortable. It’s about capturing your story, and that starts with just being yourselves.
