📢 The Delta Baptist Association has voted to close the Delta Storefront Ministry in Ferriday. The decision comes after the Food Bank of Alexandria prohibited distributing Bibles, ministering, or sharing materials at the storefront while food from the Food Bank is present.

📚 The Concordia Education Center (CEC) is expanding opportunities for students! Principal Charles Anderson wants the Miss-Lou community to see that CEC is more than a school for disciplinary issues. This year, CEC has added the Star Academy and Electrical Training Alliance (ETA) to its programs—joining welding, shop, and agriculture classes already offered.

Concordia Education Center (CEC) is more than a place for students with disciplinary issues, and Principal Charles Anderson wants Miss-Lou residents to see just how much more the school offers.

🚨 A $700,000 bond has been set for Kobe Johnson, 21, of Ferriday. He is accused in the second-degree murder of Carlos Collins and the attempted second-degree murder of Doug Collins. Seventh Judicial District Judge Kathy Johnson issued the bond on Aug. 20.
