It's been several years since I've returned to Eagle Creek, and I felt it was only fitting to complete what I set out to do years ago: wade and fish the entire Eagle Creek through Findlay, Ohio. Join me on this nostalgic and adventurous journey as I revisit the waters that sparked my love for creek fishing!

Out of the water and into the frying pan! This is the continuation and cooking half of the Late Night Bullhead Fishing video. I will be preparing Bullhead from start to finish for a absolutely scrumptious dinner! On the menu tonight, wild caught Bullhead Catfish fillets, pan fried in Land O Lakes butter, spritzed with lemon, seasoned to taste with Old Bay and served with a side of butter browned Basmati Rice.

This is a test video that I would say was somewhat successful in low light to dark conditions. I've been playing around with my camera settings to be able to do late night fishing, so bare with me while I progress. I've also been working on experimenting with different lighting setups so I can plan on putting out a broader array of fishing videos. I had fun, caught some decent Bullhead Catfish and learned a lot on how to better illuminate the areas I plan on fishing during the night in the future.

I don't know if you all have seen it already or not, but my 2021 Longnose Gar Fish Ohio pin has just arrived! I went ahead and stuck all the rest of the pins I've gotten over the past couple years along with it on the little card they sent.

This whole year I've been on a roll with collecting Fish Ohio species. One of my first entries of each year usually happens to be Freshwater Drum, but up until today I hadn't caught any that qualified. I saw on a few fishing pages of folks catching some rather large Freshwater Drum on Crawfish. So I decided I would stop by Anglers Supplies in Fremont, Ohio and pick up some live Crawfish. I then headed to the one place I knew I would almost be guaranteed to land a Fish Ohio worthy Freshwater Drum and that place was the mouth of the Portage River in Port Clinton, Ohio. And sure enough I caught my 6th Fish Ohio species of the year, a 25.50 inch Freshwater Drum, let's go!

I got my fifth Fish Ohio species and new personal best, a 9.50 inch Sunfish. I've targeted multiple ponds for Sunfish for awhile now and came close, but no Fish Ohio's. So, I decided I needed to find a area that is rarely targeted and the first thing that came to mind were these few ponds on top of Farout Park in my hometown of Lima, Ohio. I've seen multiple people fish the largest of the ponds down at the bottom of the park, but I couldn't recall seeing anyone fishing the others. It just goes to show you never know what kind of surprises you might find when you try fishing what looks to be the least promising bodies of water. Persistence pays off.

I've been on the hunt lately for my fifth Fish Ohio species for this year. I been hitting up ponds and such attempting to target a Fish Ohio Sunfish or Largemouth. I don't have a whole lot of experience catching Largemouth specifically and have only really managed to catch em while out fishing for Smallies. So I figured I would get some practice in and what better place is there to do that other than Bass Pro Shops.

This is a continuation and second part of wading Riley Creek in Bluffton, Ohio. I picked up near where I left off by the Cherry Street bridge and made my way down and around to the South Spring Street bridge near the backend of Buckeye Lake. Throughout this stretch of the creek I caught considerably more Largemouth than I did on my last trip.

Since I'm on a roll hitting up rivers and creeks I decided to start working my way downstream of Riley Creek. I started at the Bluffton Village Park Soccer Complex and worked my down a little past East College Avenue. There were stretches of this creek that were very shallow with two feet or less of water. But it being shallow didn't sway me and I'm glad it didn't because this creek is littered with holes all over the place. There were so many good looking holes to hit it was actually overwhelming. I tried my best to stay patient and throughly fish each potential spot. I know for sure along the way I blew a couple good spots because I wasn't prepared for how sporadic the terrain would be since I've never fished this creek before. Still had fun, caught some fish and I'll know better where to focus my attention if I ever come fish this part of the creek again.
