❓❓❓Did you know….

Women in sport receive less than 10% of the global sports marketing sponsorship spend, which has created inequality and a lack of opportunity for women in many sports. In motorsport, where men and women can compete equally when afforded equal opportunities we see this funding disparity manifest with a lack of female athletes able to find the financial support.

The Shift Up Now Foundation assists female athletes in motorsport by supplying funding that allows access to better equipment and better resources, help further their careers with opportunities to rise to, and compete in, the highest echelons of motorsport.

They believe that with equal funding, and equal opportunities, we will see more women on the podium, and winning races, allowing them the ability to climb the motorsport ladder, and inspire the next generations of racers who will follow.

🚨Full Closure of 96th Street at Nickel Plate Trail

As part of the final phase of the Nickel Plate Trail Pedestrian Bridge project, a full closure along 96th Street, between Hauge Rd. and Masters Rd., will take place as crews complete the final roadway reconstruction work, marking one of the last major steps before the Nickel Plate Bridge opens in December.

What To Expect
Full closure of 96th Street at the Nickel Plate Trail (between Hague & Masters)
Dates: 9 a.m. Friday, November 7 through Sunday, November 16
Work hours: Approximately 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday
Access & Detours
Access to all nearby businesses will remain open.
Detour routes will be clearly marked to help drivers reach destinations in the area.
