I have reopened the library for now. I’ve been keeping an eye on it and have not been seeing any ants. Somebody kindly left some granules to keep the ants away and it seems to be working so I am leaving them. They are at the base of the library. They are also inside the library. Somebody else also kindly offered to build me a new library. I’m not sure where he is in that process or if he’s even begun it, but if that happens, I will be replacing the library at some point. The other reason I have reopened it is that I entered (and won) a contest to win the Good Morning America August book of the month book and that will be coming shortly. I will announce when that arrives but keep an eye out because it will be in the library and it is a brand new book that has just been released. Thank you for your patience!

Unfortunately, I have to close the library indefinitely. I’m having a major ant problem that I can’t seem to combat. I bought the library off of somebody who built them years ago and it is definitely degrading. I don’t know if I just need a new library, but I can’t afford to buy one through little free library. They’re way too expensive. I’m open to alternatives if anybody has a small refrigerator or a newspaper dispenser that they want to donate. Otherwise it’s going to remain closed until I can figure something out.
