We have been asked to post this to help get the word out to people in rural Coffee County.

FEMA’s next housing resource fair will be held at The Atrium at 114 N. Peterson Ave. in downtown Douglas. This location will be open this Saturday, March 8, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The goal is to connect eligible survivors with affordable housing and helping them towards recovery. Here they will meet with local housing organizations, landlords and property owners, the Small Business Administration and much more. “As Georgians continue to recover, we just want them to know that we are here for them, and that they are not alone throughout their recovery journey. We hope to see survivors who may need assistance walk through these doors and get the help that they may need,” says James Wood of FEMA.

Due to the winter storm warning, our offices will close at 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) and remain closed Wednesday. ❄️⛄️

A wintry mix of snow, sleet and ice is expected with this storm. Ice can significantly increase the weight on power lines. This added weight can cause lines to sag, break or snap. Ice accumulation on tree branches can cause them to break and fall onto power lines, causing power outages.

Our employees are prepared to respond to power outages if necessary. To report an outage, make a payment or check your balance, use our app or online customer service portal. To report an outage by phone, call 888-308-6582. To make a payment or check your balance by phone, call 229-468-7415.
