There is no better celebration on this day than the celebration of the two beings that, in their meeting, love, passion, and dedication did emerge my life and the life of two others. And as if that were not enough, the multitudes of lives they've touched and inspired goes without measure. I am who I am thanks to them. Happy Anniversary Mom + Dad

Shiggity-shiggity-shwah! I think mid-May is replacing late December in my world of anxious/excited long nights kicking my legs under the sheets. Thanks for doing us good, once again! Some more exciting news coming from the camp

1/9 - The moments that hurtle upon us when great swaths, by our meager measure, of time go cascading by in some intangible deluge. I can recall distinctly, my very first post on , which I doubt is still even among this collection. This vessel for photos of food, felines, and friends has evolved over the course of the years to be an incubator for conceptual challenges; primarily for myself, but in some roundabout way, I hope for others as well. So, I revel in the merits of being in two places at once, as is pictured here in her most enatagled of quantum states. 1K posts, it's been fun

Death Valley has no shortage of backpacking opportunities; with wilderness ranging from nearly 12k above sea level to just about 300 below. Despite this, resources are hard to come by; pictured here hiking the massive alluvial fan out of Indian Pass, where its rumored spring appeared to have long run dry. Our 8 mi in/out overnighter turned 10mi day hike

They may not be massive, canid beasts resembling small bears but they certainly are each a pivotal piece of the aggregate "greatest thing to happen in my lifetime" - for anyone who has known the companionship of a dog, there is nothing like it and I doubt there ever will be. At least they're fuzzy, can sure spin one helluva tale about fuzzy dogs
