VOCAL TRACT SHAPING - KEN TAMPLIN - KEN TAMPLIN VOCAL ACADEMY





Singing vowels is very different than speaking them. We use something called Vocal Tract Shaping to form the vowels at the back of the throat.

What many people do not realize is that most singing takes place on sustained vowels.

How we shape our vocal tract while singing matters a lot.

In order to "go with the flow", we learn to shape our vocal tract into closely-related vowels that flow smoothly from one to another.
