I got a message that made my heart stop last week.

A young couple from Maryland was visiting Sedona. He had planned the perfect surprise proposal at Secret Slick Rock and had booked a photographer months in advance. The day before—the day before!—that photographer canceled on him.

He scrambled. He reached out. And somehow, fate smiled on me.

I showed up 30 minutes early, scouted the light, and found my spot. They arrived, hand in hand. And when he dropped to one knee at sunset, I was ready. I captured every moment—the tears, the laughter, the overwhelming yes.

But here's the best part: their love story.

He was a college athlete recovering from an injury. She was his physical therapist. After weeks of rehabilitation, he finally worked up the nerve to ask her out for lunch. And the rest, as they say, is history.

From healing to forever. From physical therapy to a lifetime together.

I don't believe in coincidences. Some moments are simply meant to be.

Some love stories take the scenic route. 🧡

They met in high school and instantly connected—but they were both dating other people. So they stayed friends, went their separate ways, and life moved on.

Years later, they ran into each other at a mutual friend's party. The spark? Still there. They both ditched their dates, ended up at Denny's for coffee, and talked until the sun came up.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

I had the absolute honor of capturing their engagement session at Crescent Moon Ranch in Sedona last week. The red rocks, the creek reflections, the golden light—it was pure magic. But honestly? Nothing compared to watching these two laugh, whisper, and look at each other like they'd just met at that party all over again.

I'm already counting down the days until their wedding this December. ❤️

This 1963 Corvette Stingray hardtop hadn't seen daylight in years. 😮‍💨

The owner bought it with big dreams of a full restoration. But life happened. It sat in a storage unit. No battery. No brakes. Not running.

But here's the thing—the paint was original. The leather? Original. And when we opened that storage door, it smelled exactly like the 1960s. Vintage leather, old gasoline, and decades of quiet patience.

We rolled that beauty out by hand—slowly, carefully—and captured her right there, exactly as she was.

Dust? Yes.
Patina? Absolutely.
Soul? Off the charts.

The "mini-storage" aesthetic isn't bad for a car that wouldn't even start. There's something honest about capturing a dream on pause. Not every classic car needs to be showroom shiny to tell a good story, and some things don't need restoration to be beautiful.
