Sometimes, the best light isn't the one we plan for—it’s the one we wait for. ☀️

I had the incredible honor of spending golden hour with this sweet family from Phoenix in Sedona’s Secret Slick Rock Trail. They were celebrating their 5th wedding anniversary in the very place they said "I do." While the clouds gave us soft, flat light for most of the session, we held onto hope… and right at the end, the sun broke through and gave us pure magic.

As a dad to a little one the same age as their 2.5-year-old son, I immediately connected with their family. When mom and dad wanted a quick couples shot but were worried about their busy toddler, I had a helper for a minute! 😉 He was thrilled to be my assistant and hold the light stand.

The mom told me they have a photo from their wedding day always on display—and that this new family heirloom is going right next to it. That’s why I do what I do. It’s not just taking pictures; it’s freezing time for families, creating legacies, and honoring love in all its forms.

🌅 There’s nothing quite like a surprise sunrise engagement at the Grand Canyon! 🌅

I had the absolute honor of capturing Cassandra & Robert’s magical morning at one of Northern Arizona’s most iconic locations. As the sun painted the sky in shades of gold and crimson, Robert got down on one knee—and of course, Cassandra said YES! 💍 It was a moment full of tears, laughter, and pure, unfiltered joy—the kind of authentic emotion I live for as a storyteller behind the lens.

Engagement sessions like these aren’t just about stunning photos (though we definitely got those!); they’re about freezing a once-in-a-lifetime moment you’ll cherish forever.
