Here's my most recent lyric music video for Avatari's "Bad Things With You." I've made several of these for Ari, but this is easily one of my favorites.
I can't help but reflect on the evolving landscape of visual storytelling in the music industry -- I used to make more animated music videos, but now many musicians and labels can't really justify the ROI from producing them anymore.
As a designer and musician, I could go on and on about all of the ways that things are changing, both good and bad. With major artists seeing a decline in traditional music video viewership and the rise of shortform content, it's clear that we're still adjusting to a new era in music promotion. While the traditional music video may be facing challenges, lyric videos still offer a fresh way to engage audiences that are much more affordable to create. hashtag hashtag 🎥🎶
