After not winning any river permits for the 2026 season, I decided maybe this was the year we did a commercial Grand Canyon river trip. Things fell into place and we ending up rafting 187 River miles with Arizona River Runners
Our family has been doing private rafting trips for over a decade and I can’t tell you how luxurious it was to do a commercial trip. The incredible food, ideal campsite selection, lunch spots with shade, masterful motoring through Hance, Bedrock, Lava, Crystal and every rapid…it was a trip of all play, discovery and relaxation. I never had to worry where we were or what was coming up…I could just soak it all in. We were also rafting during monsoon season and our guides did an amazing job of staying on top of weather updates and selecting campsites and hikes that would keep us all safe.
I have stood on top of Navajo Bridge countless times and looked down at the rafts hoping that one day that would be me. I am so so so grateful. I also already want to go again.
