The Clay County School System under Mr. Van Zant is no longer an “A” rated district. In the last four years we have dropped in state ratings from 13th to 20th, we have dipped below the required 3% minimum fund balance, and our credit worthiness has been downgraded twice in the last 4 years. http://schoolgrades.fldoe.org/reports. Clay County is in need of a qualified superintendent that can help our county grow and once again become an efficient and innovative “A” school system. Please VOTE Aug.18 to 27th
Addison Davis, a conservative QUALIFIED Republican for Superintendent of schools. Please vote to better our schools and community. Please share the facts.
An example of just a few of Mr. Davis's experience and leadership abilities that helped Duval is when he was a principal at Jeff Davis Middle School (2005-2009) -he was the driving force to moved the school from a C to a B. When he was the principal at Terry Parker High School (2009-2011) -he again was the driving force to move the school from D to a B. Through hard work, dedication and passion to help children, he worked his way from a teacher (1999/2001 Robert E Lee High School) to DCPS Chief of Schools Duval (2013 to now). He and his family have called Clay County home for 12 years. He wants to help Clay County Schools get back to the A district it can be. Look him up at http://www.addisongraydavis.com/ or on facebook.
