After 11 days in a row without rain, we finally break our dry spell today.
Scattered rain and thunderstorms move in by late this afternoon and extend into the evening hours.
With more humidity, expect a few healthy downpours for thirsty lawns and gardens.
Afternoon temperatures will move up into the upper 70s to low 80s, along with a gusty southwest breeze.
Overnight, a few showers could linger, with warm and muggy weather.
Lows will drift down to the mid 60s.
There's another chance for rain and thunderstorms on Saturday.
The Storm Prediction Center has us in a marginal risk for severe storms that could produce some high wind gusts up to 60 mph.
Low 80s will be popular across our area.
Sunday will be drier with more sunshine.
A northeast wind will keep temperatures in the 70s by the water and low 80s inland.
Next week starts off dry on Monday, with highs back in the low to mid 80s.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible on Tuesday.
