I forgot to post this one, so let’s get into it:

Sometimes the absence of something in a transition can reset the vibe for where it’s headed. The little details. The subtleties. The way it pinpoints your mind to a moment, place, or a person you heard the song with. That’s the mystery that sits behind the mixing. Next thing you know, it’s stuck in your head. Once it’s stuck in your head, you’re frozen in time.

Some transitions allow space for the music to breathe. This is useful when you need to reset the vibe, or segue the listeners to whatever story you’ll be telling next through the music. Don’t overthink it. Your authenticity thrives when you’re intentional in HOW you mix what you play. ✨

Remember the Disco Drizzy transition? Well this how we came out of it ⬇️

💭✍🏽:
The staccato of the melody over something so smooth gave me what I needed. And that was to extend the vibe that was already established from the Disco Drizzy transition. If the vibes are craveable, that’s where you want it. Simplicity seems to be my superpower and lately I’ve been embracing it. Subscribe to my YouTube channel for more vibes! 🫶🏽
