Flint, Michigan — Senior AI Education is inviting seniors across Mid-Michigan to attend a free, hands-on technology support event designed to help older adults better understand and use the devices they rely on every day.
The event, titled “Bring Your Device,” will take place on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 2 p.m. in the Mott Room at the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library.
During the event, seniors are encouraged to bring their smartphones, tablets or laptops and receive live assistance from knowledgeable technology professionals. Support will be available for common technology concerns, including slow devices, confusing apps, email access, passwords, settings, internet questions, AI tools and safe technology use.
As technology continues to move quickly, many seniors are left feeling frustrated, confused, or disconnected. Senior AI Education is working to close that gap by creating a welcoming space where seniors can ask questions, receive support and build confidence using modern technology.
“This event is about making sure seniors feel supported, not overwhelmed, by technology,” said Sherrod Pigee, director, Senior AI Education. “Whether someone needs help with a phone, laptop, email, apps or understanding AI tools, we want them to know they are not alone.”
Churches, senior centers, community groups, caregivers, families and local media are encouraged to help spread the word and invite seniors who may benefit from this free event.
