Sheriff Les K. Hill reports a successful search and rescue of a missing 1.5 year old child on Lawrenceburg Ferry Road. The child was found safely this afternoon and has since been reunited with family.

Thank you to all of the first responders, volunteers and community members that arrived to assist with the search efforts.

A multi vehicle accident involving a semi has shutdown 275 eastbound near the KY17 overpass in Fort Wright. No life threatening injuries are reported but the closure will remain in place for the next hour as crews work to cleanup and remove wrecked vehicles from the scene. Please avoid the area if possible.

Florence Fire/EMS is on the scene at 7500 Turfway for a large pile of hay on fire. The location of the pile is in a isolated area with limited access and available water.
Responders will be working through the night to ensure the fire does not spread.
There are no injuries and no buildings are threatened. The situation will continue to produce smoke conditions throughout the night. Please avoid the area if possible.

Union, Burlington, and Florence firefighters are currently on scene of the 8500 block of Elmcreek Court in unincorporated Boone County for a structure fire. Arriving deputies found an active fire on the back of the house.
