The Flor-Ala's Eli Rainey and Hannah Butts attended the UPC's annual Ghost Walk: After Hours. Students were taken on a scavenger hunt around haunted spots on campus in order to collect clues and find their missing peers.

What was your favorite part of this year's Renaissance Faire?

Podcast Producer Eli Rainey asked many attendees at Florence's annual Renaissance Faire about their favorite parts of the event.

β€” UNA has begun outsourcing custodial work, leaving many employees poorly supplied, understaffed and without many state benefits.

UNA hired SSC for education, a private company headquartered in Knoxville, aimed at outsourcing Environmental Service facilities, grounds and maintenance workers.

β€” UNA closed its inclusion offices this summer, with no public announcement or communication to students.

The Mitchell-West Center for Social Inclusion had its entire online presence removed and its physical offices closed down.

Though Mitchell-West has been shut down, many groups that have worked with the center, such as Student Counseling Services and Social Work Organization, are still operational.

The Flor-Ala is honored to present our "Best Viewer" award to all of you! πŸ†

The Flor-Ala celebrated the end of the semester with Flow, at our student publication banquet.

Several staff members were presented with awards acknowledging their achievements throughout the semester. Congratulations to all of those who received an award!

Congratulations to both the staff of The Flor-Ala and Flow for an incredible school year, filled with wonderful stories and visuals.

Finally, congratulations to all students for finishing the school year! And a special congratulations to all of those students who graduated! πŸ‘

β€” Brian McCafferty starts his barber shop up again after recovering his ability to walk.

Brian McCafferty, the owner of Classic Cutz Barber Shop, lost all feeling in the lower half of his body in late 2023. He’s recently opened his own private studio after over a year of recovery.

He is currently in the process of changing his brand from Classic Cutz Barber Shop to McCafferty’s Barber Shop and Mini Farm.
