Single Lock was dreamt up in 2013 and in the time since, we’ve released nearly 40 records that don’t fit neatly into a specific category. Our goal is to gather and release an interesting and accurate collection of the best of Southern American music. Our home base is Florence/Muscle Shoals, Alabama, a historic place that values great songs and great musicians. Our roster of artists is a diverse, e

clectic set of accomplished musicians with something to say and the skills to say it. We also responded to the COVID-19 pandemic by establishing the Advocacy Fund for Alabama Musicians, distributing over $10,000 in no-strings-attached relief grants to Alabama musicians (so far). The standard of this company is excellence and decency. This informs everything we do, from the label operations to our recording studio to our A&R to our social initiatives and all the way down to the way we treat people. We aim to be a cut above. Our team is made up of musicians, business people, creatives and dreamers that go the extra mile to bring you exceptional art. Single Lock is committed to the growth of our community and our artists through strong relationships, sensible partnerships and--most of all-- great music. We are honored to officially welcome Mary Bragg to the Single Lock family. Her new album, Secrets to Strangers, produced by our own Ben Tanner and John Paul White at FAME studios and Sun Drop Sound, arrives this October on Single Lock Records.

Pre-order Secrets to Strangers through our website (link in bio) and check out “What Do I Do” now wherever you stream: a stirring rumination on uncertainty, featuring a stunning duet with John Paul White who also guests in the official video shot at The Ritz Theatre .

“Being in the Shoals felt like home to me,” Bragg says. “But I’ll attribute the feeling largely to Ben and John, because we are all cut from the same cloth. When we started recording, none of us knew how joyful it would become, not only musically but personally.”

“Working with Mary is a producer’s dream,” says White. “She’s a total pro, works hard, hits her marks. Sings beautifully - and like no other. This is one of my favorite projects I’ve had the pleasure and honor to produce - and no small part of that is how much I adore her as a person.”
