Tomorrow, January 7th, at 7:00 PM, marks another important district board meeting. Thanks to your dedication and support, the community succeeded in persuading the board to overturn their decision to evict the Florence Volunteer Fire Department. Your efforts have been invaluable, but our work isn’t done yet.
There are concerning rumors suggesting the board may pursue plans that could eventually bankrupt the district, forcing paid EMS and fire services to shut down. These essential services are a lifeline for the Florence Fire Protection District, and their loss would have a profound impact on our community.
We urge you to maintain the momentum by attending board meetings and holding the board accountable. Together, we can ensure these critical services remain in place for the benefit of everyone in our district.
