Bundle up! It’ll be cold tonight with temps by daybreak hovering in the upper teens to near 20° inland and low to mid 20s in the Grand Strand. In case you missed my previous post regarding Snow Sunday, the trend is for more rain than anything else. Snow could mix in far inland but right now little to no accumulation is likely. I’ll take a deeper dive late tonight and again tomorrow morning.

Attention!

CSX has announced a track maintenance project beginning January 12, 2026, in Florence County. The project includes the installation of new railroad ties and will require full closures of affected railroad crossings. Southern Commercial Development, LLC will be providing traffic control and detour signage for the impacted areas.

Motorists should expect delays and extended travel times and are encouraged to avoid the affected areas when possible.

Our Warming Station is open from 8 AM to 2 PM on any day when the temperature is below 40 degrees. This space offers a warm, safe place for our neighbors to rest and recover from the cold. You’ll find it at Whosoever Church beside the Courtney McGinnis Graham Community Shelter at 535 S. Church St.
