Well they finally came to clear the land across the street from us today. There are at least 3 active gopher tortoise burrows on that land. I know this because they come to eat in our yard almost every day. I saw the bulldozer this morning, I went out and talked to the driver but he basically said I'm just the driver. I checked to see if they had pulled a relocation permit and they had not so I called FWC to report it. They showed up within a half hour and made them leave. Gophie and his friends live another day! Small victories
