Bryan Waddle, our founder, was born in McKinney, Texas and lived the first 10 years of his life in Frisco, TX. where he graduated high school. Bryan attended the University of North Texas and graduated with a degree in Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management. After a career in another business, Bryan joined his father in the used construction equipment business in 2000. The equipment business wa

s not exactly new to him as his grandfather, Clyde Waddle, was the first John Deere dealer in Collin County. Upon his death in 1965, his father Pat, became a salesman with a road machinery company in Dallas, Texas. His customer base consisted of asphalt paving, concrete, and other aggregate contractors and covered 15 counties west of Dallas/Fort Worth. As young boy, Bryan spent summers traveling with his father throughout this territory learning to talk to people with these trips becoming his first lessons in sales and marketing. In 1972, his father opened Dentex Ford Tractor where Bryan grew up working from setting up equipment to sweeping the floors and working the parts counter. In high school, needing to get experience outside the family business, Bryan was helper working for Dr. Pepper delivering the beverage to all types of business. When Bryan joined his father's business, he did not have a customer base. Being new to the business and having a family to support, he needed to find a way. So, Bryan recruited his 14-year-old nephew who was a computer whiz to build a website for selling used construction equipment. They used a program called Frontpage and spent the Thanksgiving holidays in 2000 designing and building it. The day after Christmas, a customer drove in from Georgia and bought a trailer load of equipment. Through this website and subsequent email marketing, Bryan has sold equipment not just in the United States, but worldwide. Bryan founded his own company, Cross Timbers Equipment, in 2007. In 2014, Bryan began renting construction equipment to all types of contractors, but mainly to asphalt paving contractors. In 2019, he wanted to grow his rental business, so he thought if he could help his contractors get more jobs, then they would continue to rent his equipment. So, from that idea Asphalt Marketing Crew became a business. As a matter of fact, his first client was renting their paver when Bryan began helping them grow their business. They were able to reach $5,000,000 in sales their first year. After two years of working with Bryan, they own their own fleet of equipment and continue to grow. The desire to help a business a grow has become a passion for Bryan. In February of this year, he merged his equipment business with his business partner of ten years. Bryan now focuses his time on helping asphalt paving contractors and others grow their business. Bryan currently resides in Denton, Texas with his wife and 4 Boston Terriers. Bryan considers himself a Texas BBQ Smoke Master, but also enjoys travel, sports, and fishing. But his passion is seeing his customers grow their businesses so they can reach their goals and that they are able to make their dreams a reality.

Last year, a paving company came to me with these challenges:

- Website from 2010 that didn't work on phones
- No Google reviews
- Invisible on Google searches
- Inconsistent leads

Here's what happened after 90 days of our complete system:

1) New website converting at 12% (industry average is 2-3%)
2) Ranked #1 on Google for "asphalt paving [their city]"
3) Went from 3 reviews to 20 five-star reviews
4) 25 qualified leads per month (up from 5)
5) Booked solid through the entire spring season
The strategy? We built them a complete digital presence: modern website, Google Business optimization, reputation system, and targeted ads.

If you're ready to take your business to 7, 8, or beyond figures per year, then let's set up a strategy call. Your business could be next.

Question for asphalt and sealcoating company owners:

What's the BIGGEST gap in your marketing right now?

A) Website (old, slow, or doesn't convert)

⚠️ The 5 Reasons Paving Companies Lose Leads Online

Reason #1: Your website looks like it's from 2005. If your site doesn't work on phones or takes 10 seconds to load, customers are clicking the back button and calling your competitor.

Reason #2: You're invisible on Google When someone searches "asphalt paving near me" and you're not in the top 3, you don't exist. Those spots go to companies with optimized Google Business Profiles.

Reason #3: You have 2 Google reviews Your competitor has 50+ five-star reviews. Who do you think gets the
call?

Reason #4: No system for tracking leads You don't know which marketing is working, where leads come from,or which ones you forgot to follow up with.

Reason #5: You're doing it all yourself You're great at paving. Marketing is a full-time job.

The fix? A complete digital marketing system built specifically for your business by Asphalt Clicks!

WANT TO MAKE MORE $

The most important online asset is your Google Business Profile (aka Google Map Listing, GMB). Below is a heat map for an asphalt contractor in a largely populated area. A heat map shows your Google ranking in relation to your competition. From the map, red is not what you want to see. It means you're not getting as many calls as your competitors. So, if you see red on your heat map, you need help or you can drive by the jobs that your competitors are working on. Comment "Heat Map" and I will send you yours for FREE!

We frequently encounter marketing agencies emphasizing the importance of lead generation. Similarly, reputation management is often discussed, with a focus on accumulating more reviews. However, a crucial aspect that is often overlooked is how contractors can effectively retain clients, encouraging them to return for future projects. To address this, consider the following strategies: 1. Schedule a personal meeting or FaceTime call with the client at the project site after completion, discussing potential issues and requesting a Google Review if satisfied. 2. Present a branded gift, such as a coffee mug or tumbler, tailored to the client's preferences. 3. Follow up with a phone call two weeks after project completion. 4. Establish a system for maintaining communication, including occasional mailers or emails.
