A sweet family came to us looking for the right independent living option — and all the stars aligned. ✨ The perfect apartment opened up with just the right floor plan, location, activities, and meals she was hoping for.

🚨 New 2025 Texas Senior Care Laws You Should Know 🚨

If you or someone you love is exploring assisted living, memory care, or small residential care homes in Texas, there are big changes you need to know about. Four new laws take effect this year, all designed to protect seniors and make placement services more transparent.

These updates require background checks for staff, stricter rules for referrals, penalties for unlicensed operations, and more accountability for placement agencies. They also help families know exactly who they are working with and whether a home is truly safe and legal.

💡 What this means for you: Always ask if the home is licensed by the State of Texas, confirm your placement service is insured and transparent, and be aware that referring to unlicensed homes now carries penalties in most situations.

Texas is raising the bar for senior safety and accountability, knowledge is power when it comes to finding the right care.
