Back to School! ✏️ 🏫 🍎 The Amazin' Mets Foundation funded a $175,000 grant to New York Cares to support their Stand with Students Program. With this grant, 10,000 brand new backpacks with school supplies were purchased and will be distributed to Title 1 schools and community organizations in Brooklyn and Queens. 3,000 of those backpacks were packed with new school supplies at Citi Field by Mets front office employees for local students in need.

My love of the game went to new levels cheering on and when these 2 joined the club!!! there stories of being at the top of the mountain,batting in the wilderness to stepping into the light with Gods grace and mercy to see them thru is a story every baseball fan, life fan and especially a true New Yorker can get behind and celebrate!!! Doc and Straw you are champions on and of the field!! #18 & #16 can’t wait to see them forever displayed

In the fall of 2021, KC announced that they were undertaking a diligent, deliberate, and transparent process to explore the possibility of a new ballpark district. They said would look at various locations across the city that will allow for residential, commercial, and community components. They are excited to now share that they have two leading locations under close consideration, one in downtown Kansas City, and the other located in North Kansas City.
While each site offers unique opportunities, their vision is to best serve ALL residents and build on the momentum the city is experiencing. To accomplish this move, their plans will be contingent on continuing public-private partnership and investment with multiple local jurisdictions and the State of Missouri.
“This is the most important thing we will have the opportunity to do while we have the privilege of being stewards of this franchise,” said John Sherman, Chairman and CEO of the Kansas City Royals.

Today, MLB announced the launch of the Commissioner’s Ambassador Program, a new effort featuring 12 highly accomplished former players who will participate in Major League Baseball programs, represent the game at MLB events, and support the league’s international growth, MLB Together community activations, and Baseball and Softball Development programs. 
 
The group of 12 players combined for eight World Series Championships, three MVPs, two Rookie of the Year awards, 28 All-Star appearances, eight Silver Sluggers, and 20 Gold Gloves across their total of 175 seasons of Major League experience. 

Commissioner Manfred said: “We are thrilled to begin our Ambassador Program, which will highlight the impact that former players continue to have. Their active participation in our initiatives will keep them close to the game and help us advance Major League Baseball in the future. I appreciate this group’s great enthusiasm to support the game’s growth for the next generation of fans.” Congratulations to all the selected stars ⚾️
