Nyjah Huston will be out of competition this year due to a torn ACL. The world No. 1 posted an image to his Instagram account while hospitalized along with the following statement:

"It's crazy that in a split second life makes you feel so good, and then the next so bad. I was feeling stronger than ever. Going out less (at night), drinking less, I was so satisfied in being on my skateboard that the only thing on my mind was day after day, the new 'peak' I would face."
