Seven years ago, I sat down with friends and family to play Dungeons & Dragons for the first time since I was a kid.
What started as rolling dice and telling stories became something much bigger.
Around that table, I rediscovered the power of community. I watched friendships grow, strangers become friends, and people find a place where they could simply be themselves. For a few hours, the worries of everyday life faded away, replaced by laughter, adventure, and connection.
Nearly a year ago, that feeling inspired a dream.
What if there was a place where that sense of belonging existed every day?
About six months in that dream started to become something tangible, The Wandering Hearth.
After the incredible success of our first pop-up tavern event, and more already planned, we're taking the next step toward creating a permanent home for our community—a family-friendly tavern filled with good food, great stories, games, imagination, and a seat at the table for everyone.
This isn't just about opening a business.
It's about creating a place where people can gather, connect, and belong.
It's about building community.
It's about giving people a chance to step away from the noise of the world and share a meal, tell a story, and make memories together.
