We gave it everything for Milky Way. His wing was not going to heal so the only alternative was amputation. It’s a big surgery for a small body. He made it through the surgery but did not wake up.

It’s a hard day.

The earth pushes forth so many lovely things: food to eat, trees for shade, etc. And then this. After a good rain we get to see what new trash emerges. It’s not everywhere but there are a few spots that were clearly dump zones for the previous family.

The earth doesn’t want your glass, it just gives it back.

Glad I don’t have animals or kids that glass would be a hazard for. /s/sarcasm//

Milky Way gets his antibiotics and pain meds each day. He prefers the pain meds and fusses more for the antibiotics. As soon as we are done he walks himself back to his brooder.
