We are also looking for someone with milk, pasteurization knowledge, cleaning CIP etc. previous experience in a milk plant is a plus!

This is probably the best explanation I’ve seen regarding the state of dairy farming, especially in the Northeast.

It’s easy to be upset about solar panels from the outside, but when you’ve been getting your teeth kicked in the last few years farming, it makes it much more tempting.

We spent $3300 on diesel last week chopping corn. 🤯🤯. This is not sustainable.

We’ve had a lot of interest in raw milk again recently. We do not sell it as we are not licensed. We looked into selling it at one point, but between insurance, NYS regulations, and our available time- it wasn’t worth pursuing.

Do I think it’s some crazy superfood bc pasteurization kills all the good stuff- no. Do we drink it and cook with it occasionally- yes. Call it blasphemy, but I prefer to drink a glass of pasteurized milk over raw 🫣

We sell pasteurized milk from Dygert’s. They are a local farm that has put in the work to bottle their own milk. Also the chocolate milk is 🔥

The best cow in the barn right now is 24. We bought her from a sale, she’s not registered so I don’t have a name for her. She’s small in stature, but is a milk truck making 150lb a day.
