FONTANA POLICE REPORTS: MAN ARRESTED ON ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGE
A man was stabbed during an incident in Fontana last week, and a suspect was arrested and charged with attempted murder, according to the Fontana Police Department.
On Sept. 24 at about 5:16 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of Sierra Avenue regarding a stabbing. Officers arrived and contacted the victim in his vehicle. The victim appeared to have multiple stab wounds. The victim was treated at the scene by officers and San Bernardino County Fire/Medics. He was transported to a local hospital and is expected to survive.
Initially, the victim and a witness lied, claiming the incident had occurred in Upland and was committed by an unknown suspect.
The investigation revealed that the suspect, who was a passenger in the vehicle, 30-year-old Ga Dakota Moss, had allegedly stabbed the victim. Moss was arrested and booked at West Valley Detention Center.

-- MAN ARRESTED AFTER PURSUIT
On Sept. 24 at about 12:20 a.m., Fontana officers attempted to stop a vehicle at Arrow Boulevard and Cottonwood Avenue for a violation of California vehicle codes. The vehicle failed to yield, and a short pursuit ensued.
The driver, identified as Martin Lozier, 38, fled on foot at Cottonwood Avenue and Durango Avenue. A perimeter was established, and officers located Lozier hiding in a motorhome in the 13600 block of Lexus Lane.
A search of his vehicle allegedly revealed methamphetamine and a loaded shotgun. Officers also discovered that Lozier had a Ramey warrant for assault with a deadly weapon from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
Lozier was booked at West Valley Detention Center.
-- SUSPECT IN CUSTODY AFTER SEARCH WARRANT
On Sept. 24 at about 6 a.m., detectives from the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce (ICAC) investigated reports of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) being allegedly downloaded by an individual identified as Kentrell Johnson, 22, at a residence in Fontana.
A search warrant was served at the residence, and Johnson was taken into custody. Investigators allegedly recovered CSAM material from Johnson’s cellphone.
Johnson was booked at West Valley Detention Center.
-- TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED AFTER LONG PURSUIT
On Sept. 24 at about 9:20 a.m., police located a semi-truck displaying a stolen license plate. Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop at Foothill Boulevard and Palmetto Avenue. The driver failed to yield, and a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit lasted about 1 hour and 40 minutes, traveling through multiple cities and counties on both surface streets and freeways in Southern California. During the pursuit, the daughter of the passenger reported that the driver would not allow the passenger to exit the vehicle, which escalated the incident into a possible kidnapping.
The pursuit came to an end in Baldwin Park with the assistance of the North County SWAT Team. A BearCat armored vehicle was deployed to disable the semi-truck. The driver, Bill Fayed, 54, was taken into custody. The passenger, who had outstanding warrants, was also arrested.
Both subjects were transported to local hospitals for medical clearance before being booked at the West Valley Detention Center.
-- MAIL THEFT SUSPECT ARRESTED
On Sept. 26 at about 4:26 p.m., Fontana officers were dispatched to a report of a theft of mail in progress in the 9000 block of Poplar Avenue. A witness advised that a male subject had taken packages off a front porch before fleeing the scene on foot.
After reviewing video surveillance footage and following up on investigative leads, officers were able to identify the alleged suspect as Abraham Cervantes, 34. Cervantes was found to be on active probation for grand theft and had multiple prior theft-related convictions.
Officers later located Cervantes, and he was taken into custody without incident. A search of his vehicle revealed the stolen packages, which were recovered and returned to the victim. Cervantes was booked at West Valley Detention Center after a probation hold was obtained.
