[repost .poeticbetty] Happy International Women’s Day 2021! to all you beautiful, poetic, noble, rule-breaking womyn! 💘

Grateful for all of the women who dare just to be and for all of those who support, listen, champion and fight for girls and women all over the world. The work is never done for women, every day there is some new BS hurdle to destroy, to dismantle.
But women are resilient and strong 💪 and so we fight on and fight back 🖤

One day I really hope we can all live in a world where the headline “Women can now...” is a thing of the past. Women should and CAN DO all the things men have done since, well forever! And judging by the handling of the pandemic by women leaders, we can do it better... 💁🏻‍♀️

[repost] A challenged world is an alert world and from challenge comes change. So let's all choose to challenge!
How will you help forge a gender equal world?
⭐️ Celebrate women's achievements.

⭐️ Raise awareness against bias.

⭐️ Take action for equality.

⭐️ Lobby for accelerated gender parity.

⭐️ Fundraise for female-focused charities

👉🏻 International Women's Day has occurred for well over a century with the first gathering held in 1911. Now the day belongs to all groups collectively everywhere.

Gloria Steinem, world-renowned feminist, journalist and activist once explained "The story of women's struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist, nor to any one organization, but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights."
