Dina Altuhov, a sophomore on the Pacific Track and Field team and heptathalon athlete, found the elusive Boxer statue in the Index office yesterday. As a team activity, track athletes hide the Boxer around campus for their teammates to find. This particular hiding spot was chosen by the Index’s own Editor-in-Chief Emily Rutkowski 👀🔍

Pacific University’s Board of Trustees named Dr. Jenny Coyle, former Dean of the College of Optometry, the next President of Pacific University on Feb. 9th. Coyle will be Pacific’s 18th President, succeeding President Leslie Hallick in summer 2022. The Pacific Presidential Search Committee who chose Coyle for the position consisted of 17 members, containing only two faculty members and two students. Updates on this breaking story are forthcoming, so stay tuned. 🎓🏫

Pacific students pay a technology fee of around $230, per semester. According to US News, in the Fall of 2020, Pacific had about 1,758 students enrolled. If every student pays that technology fee to Pacific in their tuition, every semester, the total adds up to $404,304 and $808,608 for the year.
