The old live room door and walls were removed to install the Thomas Kinkade doors. The pillars and fascia are left but this is the end of the renovation construction upgrades.The fascia will be the same as the doors-dark red mahogany. It’s been a long and challenging ride but it’ll be worth it.

The demo is completed for the new double doors. They are 6 feet wide and 8 feet tall, so the whole space will be trimmed in mahogany paneling from the floor up 10 feet to the ceiling. This pic doesn’t show the size of the space very well.

Not something you’d normally see in a recording studio… the truss beams were installed today to accommodate all the different multimedia offerings from music videos. Podcasting’s, TV and radio commercials and new to market offerings via prompt engineering. One new feature of the studio is the producer desk the beginning point for all media creation from start to broadcasting.

We invited Matthew from Portland Piano Company to discuss adding a baby grand in the new Studio A room and also moving it into the live room if needed and the door opening would need to be 5 1/2 feet. So I began a search for double doors and found a set in Sumner Lake WA. I called the owner up and found out the doors belonged to the Painter of Light Thomas Kinkade's Federal Way art store that was demoed after his death. There was a lot of interest but after I told them they would be placed in Hartford Studios Recording and Multimedia, the studio was seleceted to have them. I promised to do everything in my power to remove all the negative press about him after his death. Here is a mock up what they will look like. Now, all the trim wll be mahogany. The cost of installing new doors today it would be over $12,000. The thought of having something like this in the studio is pretty humbling.

We looked at too many locations to build Hartford Studios Recording and Multimedia but twists of circumstance landed us here. It was was originally home to the Atfalati, a tribe of the Kalapuya Native Americans and then Oak Hill Settlement. Migrant tribes also rested here as they travelled to the southern regions. It always seems like the studio is sitting on someone’s teepee 😎

If you were here during Epoxycaust, then You would know why I’m having a parade around the building today. This pic is at the entry to the new control room. It took over 100 sanding belts to remove all the epoxy, and finally finishing up after 2 1/2 years. The finish coats started today. We are scrambling to get open by end of summer.

Boxes are arriving! My first recording studio ran off a Petium 1 box 8 gb ram, Hartford Studios opened with an 8 core and 16 gb ram, Hartford Studios Recording and Multimedia is getting 16 core, 32 threads 8 tb storage and 96 gb ram. There will be 3 computers for the new studio, all gamer style, 6 huge gamer style monitors.and 2 4tb SATA drives. One of the new computers is dedicated to the Producer Desk. A new feature in a recording studio for sound design and sequencing.
