A repost of Dear Evan Hansen by Stages in Hillsboro. This production was shot during Covid, so each singer recorded their performance separately and we put them together in post production.

Another first for recording studios: the Baldwin Hamilton Upright and the Yamaha Baby Grand piano. Both staples and can be recorded live in separate rooms. We are down to weeks to reopening with new production products to offer.

The Hartford Studios Recording and Multimedia Live Room emptied and ready for a makeover. The room was professionally designed and built to maximize its acoustic properties. I had a major label drummer walk in it and walked around clapping his hands and said he could count the times he didn’t need drum dampeners on the drum skins on his hand, and this is one of them.

It took a four person crew an hour to set the piano up and another hour to install the spider so it can be moved between Studio A and the live room as needed. It’s beautiful and Classic Pianos went the extra mile to do it right!
