If you live inside city limits:

The City of Forney is partnering with the North Texas Municipal Water District to offer residential sprinkler system evaluations at no additional charge to eligible water utility account holders with in-ground automatic sprinkler systems. This program helps residents identify ways to improve irrigation efficiency, reduce water waste, and conserve our community’s water supply.

Interested in participating? Residential properties within Forney city limits with one controller and no more than 12 zones are eligible. Appointments are limited, and requests open on the 25th of each month at 8 a.m. for the following month.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Corey Graves, Themer Middle School Band Director, on being recognized as a three-time CMA Foundation award recipient!

This morning, Corey had the opportunity to share a little of his story on the news and, more importantly, to share the story of why music education matters.

Music is the story of people. Every artist, every song, and every stage has roots somewhere. Those roots are nurtured in classrooms, rehearsal rooms, and by educators who believe in the power of music to shape lives.

We are grateful to the CMA Foundation for recognizing music educators like Corey who dedicate their lives to tending those roots and helping young people discover their own voice, confidence, creativity, and song.

Corey’s recognition is not just a personal achievement, it is a reflection of the incredible work happening at Themer/Rhea Band Middle School, the commitment of Forney ISD, and the musical talent and spirit of Texas. 🤘🎵

Forney ISD will be closed Monday, October 12 through Friday, October 16. Friday, October 9 is a student holiday/professional development day. Classes will resume as normal on Monday, October 19. Have a great fall break, Forney Family!

Halloween Goat Yoga is back! Our friends from Goat Yoga Dallas are coming back October 17th for a fun afternoon!
