I have seen the Buccees story from the reporter. I am very excited about this as it is the type of development that feeds money into our schools and county without being a singularized tax on our residents. This is going into an area of explosive growth with emergency services nearby and staffed. I know it could negatively impact existing business on Rumble Road, however it could become a bigger opportunity to bring diesel sales to them as buccees does not allow trucks. I would love to hear the comments and have a discussion before I stand up to represent our county residents in open meeting.

Tonight is the monthly evening Monroe county commission meeting. You can tune in on Facebook via their page. Ammendments to the current UDO will be discussed and I will ask about currently approved home sites that have not been built on.

My name is Mitchell Bunce. I have spoken about several developments I oppose as fo my fellow residents. I will be speaking out against the solar farm proposal on Giles road at the next commision meeting, but I need your help. Please email your concerns to [email protected] so that we can start a movement our commissioners cannot brush off. I am willing to stand and fight for our county but I need anyone and everyone to let me know how they feel so that we have effective numbers to institute growth that is beneficial. I am opposed to any solar farm in our county and will fight until our commission finally does what we the people are asking.

I have not been very vocal here but I will be starting soon. I have taken to attending every commission meeting that I can to evaluate what our commissioners are doing. My comments at these meetings will be a mixture of my own and the taxpayers and voters of our county. Stay tuned, it might get very interesting.

I have gone back and forth about this but I want to ask a favor. MP cheer squad won their second straight state title this year. The school does not provide championship rings and they are 300 per girl. I reached out to several businesses and we have gotten them very close to their goal. I know money is tight with everyone but if you can and feel inclined to do so could yall please possibly give something to help these girls get the rings they have earned? I will include the coaches venmo and if you don't have venmo I will be glad to come pick up any donations for them.

I appreciate you all following. I have been busy taking over the shop but I will be posting some news stories for us to discuss. Luckily our small town has been pretty quiet lately. We all moved here for the quiet so I will not be stirring up bullsh@t just for clicks and likes. If anyone has anything they want to talk about though I invite you to please post. This is an open discussion page as long as you do not berate or degrade a fellow member. We can all have a different opinion without lowering ourselves to middle school comments.
