I finally made the pilgrimage. While we won't be in town for Ghostbusters day we couldn't pass up the opportunity to see the firehouse for ourselves. Honestly one of the coolest experiences of my life and I'm glad we did

On this day in Ghostbusters lore, the Shandor Mining Company of Summerville, Oklahoma was forced to cease operations following a mysterious tragedy that claimed the lives of 54 miners, later becoming known as the “Shandorian Curse.”

Referenced in Ghostbusters: Afterlife, behind-the-scenes material places the in-universe event on May 20, 1945.
