There are lots of things about this industry that you can only learn by doing it yourself! How to be a part of an asphalt crew, how to lead others, and all while maintaining quality, deadlines, and safety -- can push a foreman to their limits! It was cool to see what is bringing to the table both for commercial sized contractors and also the heavy civil infrastructure companies. They were showing off this new to the States 3 ton rubber tire pneumatic roller that IS NOT CENTER ARTICULATED. That might not sound like a big deal, but as someone who has struggled with the middle articulated operation, I would definitely like to try my hand at driving this on a jobsite. Rear wheel steering just like a forklift.
