It’s kinda chic to keep chasing dreams and growing no matter your age. I had some bucket list items I wanted to achieve in my 5th decade of life and I’m really happy to have crossed some of them off. Whether it was reaching a fitness level I thought was out of reach or to cutting ties to toxic relationships, I’m allowing myself to experience the highs and lows of life. This is the decade of me and sadly will also be the decade of perimenopause if genetics have a say. But honestly it’s okay, because I feel like I’ve done more in these first few years of my 50’s than I’ve done in several decades combined. Anyone else having a me decade?

This song is on repeat in my head, because I’m being positive and trying to manifest it all.
Also, I think this video is over a year old. I know this because I remember looking at it then and being really proud of myself for embracing that new peri squish belly. Now I’m trying to remember that feeling because my rear no longer even fits in those shorts, and Houston is still insanely hot, but hey…Every single cell inside my body is happy and well…

Hi, in this 53rd year of life I’d just like to say hormones are still kicking my hiney. I’ve had long talks with my ovaries and told them they served me well, they can now go in peace, but they are maybe the most resilient part of my body. Go figure.
So am I managing well, no, but I’m managing every day to recognize that this season of life is just hard for me. Bless the women who breeze through it. I, myself, never breeze through anything. It’s always a spiraling of chaos and holding on for dear life while I drag myself to the finish line. Or in this case over the threshold to post-menopause.
So for the women like me, hi I see you. It’s ok to not look or feel aaaaaamazing every day. We will get through this the best way we can!
Right????

Y’all Halloween is a big deal on my street! And it’s time for us to start planning the big day. We try to thrift and recycle as much as we can for our decorations and costumes.
My mile circle street gives out those and of pounds of candy each year. I think we need a candy sponsor!!

Have you found a place where you just feel like your best self? Scotland is that for me. Sweet hubby put us on a train for my first taste of Scotland and I have to say it was the most beautiful way to travel.
Anyway, this isn’t my usual funny reel of as late, as I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather. But it just makes me feel so full of gratitude that not only did I get to go to the place I’ve dreamed of for so long, but that when I got there it felt like a warm hug💜

There was a parade of deliveries the other day. Somehow all my packages that I had ordered over time showed up on the same day. Of course, this had my husband getting constant ring notifications of yet another package being left at the door. Y’all know I love my sweet, grumpy at times, man. And his face that day conveyed his thoughts loudly it was the “Am I made of money?”face. I’m sure I’m not the only one that gets that face. Sometimes it’s mine when he’s buying his photo equipment. So this reel cracked me up. And you know what, it’s going to crack my hubby up too. I promise!

Sometimes you are too focused on the task in front of you to realize you’ve missed an opportunity elsewhere.
And it’s probably okay because my technique needs help!
Fence building is always more fun when my sister is around to film my antics:)
