The base game comes with the standard colors: Red, Blue, Green and Yellow. With the addition of the Ice Expansion you get Purple and White. The Fire Expansion comes with Black and Orange. When you use expansions you can add more players to the game. The base game is playable up to 4 players by itself but you can add 2 more players with each expansion totaling 8 players. Did I mention the expansions are also standalone and playable by themselves as 2 player games!?
-Our goal for Crystal Cave-In was to design a board game that is easy to learn, fun to play, and feels new every time you play it.
-It was important to make a game that our friends want us to keep bringing back to game nights. Something quick for in between other games, fun to do while waiting for the last few friends to show up, or epic enough to be the main event!
-We made the base mechanics for this game accessible to a wide range of players. From kids to cousins to grandparents, this game always finds a table at the family get togethers.
-The deck being the game board allows it to grow organically into a different cave system every time you play, so it never feels like you are playing the same map twice.
-we have accidentally on purpose made a game that has been fun enough to play test with a wide range of people hundreds of times (no joke, pushing 1k playthroughs)!
-we have also had the joy of playing with people who intentionally (and this is very important for game designers to know people like this) have tried to break the game.
-So many fun times have been had and we are just about ready for you to join in on this experience of a game. Give us a follow and watch for our announcements.
