You don’t need a cinematic origin story to be a good storyteller. You just need the pieces of your life you’ve stopped noticing.

Storytelling isn’t about one big dramatic moment. It’s built from the tiny, honest, human things that make you you: the quirks, the routines, the hobbies you’ve collected over the years, the perspectives you don’t even realize are interesting.

The decisions that shaped your business. The lessons you’re learning right now. The dream you’re quietly building toward.

That’s the kind of storytelling that creates connection. Not the perfect aesthetic. Not the polished visuals. But the small, repeatable pieces of your lived experience, the meaning behind your work, the moments that clicked, the seasons that changed you, the things people can actually root for.

If you’ve ever thought, “I don’t know what my story is,” start there. Start small. Start with what’s true today. Your story matters, even if you’re still figuring it out.

What my mornings have been looking like lately.

I broke up with the 5 a.m. routine this year and stopped launching myself into work before my brain even turned on.

Now I start my mornings with breakfast at the table instead of my desk, with gratitude instead of immediately diving into work, and with a little fun and movement wherever it fits.

If you needed the reminder: you don’t need a perfect routine to show up for yourself or your work.

I’m in denial that November is already over.

It was a big and busy month!! I wrapped up my rookie wedding season, worked a little too much, and travelled down south to celebrate the holiday with my favorite people!!

Let’s recap:

☼ Photos Taken: 6,553

☼ Soundtrack of the Month: I’ve been listening to two albums on repeat: Life of a Showgirl and GNX

☼ Tried Something New & Survived: Making a piece of jewelry with .usa

☼ Biggest Win: Booked 6 weddings for 2026!!!

☼ Hyperfixation Food: Yogurt bowl (the DF,GF version) but I think I’m over it now

☼ Fave Outing: Going to see my nephews in AR

☼ Little Joys: decorating for Christmas, antiquing with my sister, my sunny sessions

SNEAK PEEK FOR DECEMBER: not traveling for the first time since April, taking over socials for burn, all the end of year craziness, Christmas, (obviously,) and turning 28!!

Market research isn’t doom-scrolling until you hate your feed.

It’s not copying someone else’s niche.
And it’s definitely not studying your “competitors” like you’re preparing for a final exam.

Market research is simply paying attention to patterns and learning how to use them.

Patterns in hooks.
Patterns in engagement.
Patterns in storytelling.
Patterns in what your audience responds to over and over.

When you study patterns (not people), you stop guessing.

Your content becomes intentional.
Your ideas become clearer.
And creating feels a whole lot lighter.

Would a full market research guide be helpful? One you can save, reuse, and walk through step by step? Something tangible you can apply?

Let me know below and I’ll make it happen!!

Bringing your brand to life goes way beyond the visuals.

It’s not secret, I love a visual. I love a color palette, a mood board, a curated feed, a whole vibe. Visuals matter. They set the tone and help tell the story.

But that’s not what this post is about.

This is about what happens after the brand kit is delivered.

How you turn your brand into something human, something people connect to and want to stick around for.

What are you giving people to hold onto?
What are you allowing them to see, feel, or relate to?

Because social media is not a one-sided conversation.

Are you showing up with your people?
Are you talking to them like a friend?
Are you letting them see your face, your story, your quirks, your perspective?
Are you giving them something real to grasp onto?

Your visuals draw people in.
But your voice, your personality, and your lived experiences are what keep them there.
That’s the part no one else can replicate.

When you let that into the room, that’s when your brand comes alive.

My rookie season is officially over… and it was so much more than I ever hoped or imagined.

When I launched the Partner Photographer Program at the beginning of the year, I truly had no idea what to expect.

I had goals, I had the vision, but it was brand new, untested, and honestly a little scary.

I didn’t know how it would go… and it ended up exceeding every expectation I had.

Working alongside the most talented, and fun photographers… spending entire wedding days together… getting to be part of so many couples’ stories… it has been the biggest honor.

Wedding content creation sparked something in my brain that I didn’t even realize had been dormant for so long. It brought me joy, purpose, creativity, and connection in a way I’ve been craving.

To my Partner Photographers — I love you!!!!!!!

Thank you for taking a chance on me.
Thank you for joining the program.
Thank you for welcoming me into your client experience, your workflow, your wedding days, and trusting me with such meaningful moments.

I’m so grateful for this first season.
And I cannot wait for 2026.

Stop trying to post like someone with a full social media team.

You’re one human. Give yourself some grace.

Right now I aim for 4 posts a week, and honestly? Some weeks that even feels like a stretch.

I’ve never posted on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday because I like breaks, I like being a human, and I like putting intention behind what I share.

That’s my capacity… so that’s my strategy.

When your posting rhythm actually fits your real life, everything feels lighter.

No more day-of panic posting. No more “OMG I forgot to prep” spiraling.

No more creating in fight-or-flight.

You don’t have to replicate anyone else’s pace.

You’re creating for your life and your business, not theirs!!!

Need some personalized support with figuring out how often you should be posting?? DM me and I’ll help talk you through it!!
